Acrylic paint and enamel on canvas 2018
A kind of darker Expressionism, paintings through necessity. Relieving and reliving old memories and emotions, symbolising and then abstracting them again in the process of production. Generally exploring the self and the abyss of it, the alienation, estrangement, contemplating all the failure(s) of life. The paintings are done in various steps, painted on, paint scratched off and/ or over to gain more depth and texture. The production process is highly important for the artist, there are almost no sketches beforehand, just vague ideas and memories to work on.

This is the triptych whilst still in the making. Acrylic and enamel household paints on canvas. Each panel roughly 1,50 m x 1,90 m. 2017
